People. What concrete steps will you take as a member of the Party Executive to increase the inclusiveness of the Party and expand the diversity of its membership?
Policy. What specific actions, policies and initiatives will you undertake or advocate as part of a concerted effort to ensure that the Party presents a strategic and compelling platform to the Canadian electorate that responds to Canada's most pressing needs?
Part of the NWLC mandate is to ensure that LPC develops policies that enhance the status of women and ensure that these are communicated to the public. As such, all policies should be brought to the attention of the NWLC so that they can be analyzed, monitored and reviewed to ensure conformity with the NWLC’s mandate.
Party. What tangible priority efforts will you launch to increase the participation of Party members in every level of the Party's decisions, operations and structures to increase accountability and the democratic link between the central Party and the riding organizations?
As past-constitutional chair of the NWLC I advocated for a new constitution that creates positions that are task-orientated while balancing the necessity of regional representation on the NWLC executive. At convention I will be presenting a new constitution and will assist the NWLC implement the change.
